In the picture above we see a horse and wagon from some point in the 1900’s. Not many people really use horse and wagons anymore and even when they do the designs of the wagons seem to look the same since the point of them now is to give off an old fashion feel. Carriages were first invented in the 1700’s by a man named George Pocock. The picture is obviously more recent than the 1700’s so I’d say early 1900’s is the way to go in this case. Many people in the olden days would ride those for miles, taking one or two horses with them and using them as an easier way of transportation.

Many pieces of information can be found about wagons and carriages in textbooks and they can also be found all over the internet. Not much important information can be found about the invention other than it was used to transport people and goods as well as other things and is was usually pulled by horses though other animals could of been used and as technology advanced motorized wagons are a possibility; although in through motorized wagons are pretty much automobiles, aka cars, so it is hard to say if the motorized wagon can still be considered a wagon. Maybe the wagon even inspired the idea of cars so that we may have an easier way of traveling without straining the horses? All in all I believe that wagons are an important invention from the past that have inspired many current devices and they give off a rather old fashion feel that many people to this day still enjoy with a passion.
